Panic Attack Causes
A variety of panic attack causes have been well known culprits for causing this frightening and bothersome condition that a large number of both adults and children suffer from on a daily basis.
The variety of causes for panic attacks can vary a great deal from one person to another. What may cause a tremendous amount of anxiety in one person may be no bother at all in the next person. Because of this fact alone, the list of panic attack causes and triggers can go on and on.
There are some causes of panic attacks that should be avoided if at all possible, and there are other causes that simply cannot be avoided. Stress is of course a major contributor to anxiety, and this is only intensified in a person who is already known to have high levels of anxiety. A variety of health issues have been known to cause this frightening condition to occur such as compulsive disorders, hypoglycemia, and post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. As with many other health conditions, this is also one that can be hereditary. Known phobias and situations that you naturally have a fear of are well known panic attack causes and can certainly cause a person to experience an attack.
Some causes of attacks that you may not even be aware of are stimulants such as sugar, chocolate, coffee, soda pop, and artificial sweeteners. Each of these contains a large amount of sugar and most of us consume them regularly, unfortunately they are also popular for bringing on panic attack symptoms.
At some point in our lifetime most all of us will experience some type of tragedy or traumatic event. In some individuals, any type of remembrance to that event in their life can trigger the occurrence of a panic attack. A major change in ones life has also been known to be a trigger for these attacks in some people. A few other panic attack causes can be negative people or surroundings such as in the newspaper or the news on television, and ones own lack of being optimistic.
Once you are better able to spot the specific triggers that can cause you to suffer a panic attack, you will then be able to try to avoid these specific situations. There are also prescription medications and other treatments that are available that are very effective in controlling this frustrating and frightening condition.
